A lovely restored farmhouse located on the "quiet side" of Mount Desert Island, Apple Mist is a new listing for us for 2026! This sweet cottage is just a couple miles from Acadia's Seawall Picnic area, where you can dip your toes in the ocean and enjoy beautiful ocean vistas! It's just a 10 minute walk to the harbor at Southwest Harbor, where you'll find amazing views of our Island's largest harbor (called the "Great Harbor Marina") from the Shore Road. The harbor is home to lobster boats, luxury yachts and everything in between! The public dock is a fun sight for the kiddos, since it is an active fishing dock where lobstermen can be seen pulling up lobsters and traps. Folks can fish off the dock too. The Cranberry Cove Ferry departs from there, taking you to Great Cranberry and Little Cranberry Island for a nce walk-around trip. Southwest Harbor Village is a just a 5 minute drive away, where you find restaurants, cafes, shops and ice cream!

The large yard is great for croquet, badminton and other yard games that the owner provides! Ship Harbor and Wonderland are two Acadia hiking trails that are also just a few miles from Apple Mist. Echo Lake Beach and several Acadia hiking trails are about a 10 minute drive away, as well as the Bass Harbor Head Light (Lighthouse)!

The main level of this two-story cottage features a gorgeous new kitchen with all new appliances, including a wine/beer fridge. There is also the living room, dining area, bathroom with clawfoot shower, and laundry room.

The second floor features 2 king bedrooms, and a bedroom with two twin beds (daybed with pull-out trundle). There is also a bathroom on the 2nd floor, with tub and handheld shower sprayer.

There are beautiful hard wood floors throughout!

Maximum capacity is 6 guests.

Bar Harbor, Bass Harbor, Southwest Harbor and Acadia National Park offer visitors a variety of activities, including hiking, biking, boating, lake swimming, carriage road walks, whale watch and other boat tours, deep sea fishing! Sail on the Margaret Todd, take a boat tour on the Sea Princess, LuLu's Lobster Boat, Diver Ed. Visit the Abbe Museum, explore the Bass Harbor Lighthouse area, Seawall picnic area, enjoy tea and popovers at the Jordan Pond House, golf at The Causeway Club or Kebo Valley Golf course, play tennis. Nearby kids activities include a water park, miniature golf, beaches, tour boat rides and lots of ice cream shops!
