Recently listed for vacation rentals, Majestic Point Cottage is a 4000 sq ft, beautiful, spacious oceanfront cottage located on the tidal shores of Majestic Point, just off of Mount Desert Island! The accommodations are rich and comfortable, with several decorative fireplaces, a very large chef’s kitchen with beautiful granite counters. Situated on just under 4 acres of land, the expansive lawn takes you to the shores of Mount Desert Narrows and Western Bay, where you’ll enjoy excellent kayaking or paddle boarding—you can kayak to Thompson Island picnic area! The spacious deck has excellent views of the water and grounds—a lovely spot for meals and reading a good book! Located on a private road, Majestic Point is just a 20 minute drive to downtown Bar Harbor, 17 minutes to Acadia’s main entrance to its Park Loop Road. This is a lovely property for up to 12 guests and a doggy (it even has a fenced-in pet yard)!
The main level of the cottage features a TV/den room, chef’s kitchen, formal dining room, living room, 1/2 bathroom, a gorgeous bathroom with shower, and a king bedroom with sleep sofa. Views of the water can be seen from the living room, dining room and king bedroom!
The 2nd floor features a king bedroom that also has two twin beds (sleeping 4 in that room), and two queen bedrooms. There is one full bathroom also on the 2nd floor.
Amenities include fire pit, lots of outdoor family games, 4 SmartTVs, dishwasher, washer/dryer, WIFI, BBQ, AC in all bedrooms, fenced in dog run (with doggy door from house), and outdoor dining. Guests have use of the garage.
Downtown Bar Harbor is about 20 minutes away. You can also catch the free Island Explorer bus (when operating) at the end of the road. The main entrance to Acadia National Park is just 17 minutes away. Enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking, golf, tennis, boating, nature walks, beaching, deep sea fishing, whale watch tours, museums, shopping and, of course, terrific dining choices.
