Harbor Cove House
The Great Harbor Marina of Southwest Harbor is a spectacular display of fishing craft and beautiful yachts! From the deck of the adorable Harbor Cove House you can see hundreds of boats moored in the harbor, a picturesque scene of coastal Maine! Harbor Cove Cottage is located at the end of the harbor, and nestled privately in the woods, on the water. Cozy and comfortable, it enjoys lovely views of Acadia mountains as well as the wonderful harbor! Stairs take you down to the shore, where most of the time (when the tide is not too high) there is a great beach for walking, launching a kayak and dipping your toes in the ocean! A sweet and peaceful spot for your party of 6!
The property features the main cottage, with living room, king bedroom (with lovely water views), twins bedroom (with en suite bathroom), kitchen, dining area, and another full bathroom. There is a terrific deck overlooking the harbor—a perfect spot for morning coffee or afternoon cocktails!
There is also a “studio” room connected to the garage which is a queen bedroom bathroom (shower only).
Amenities include ROKU TV (in living room), WIFI, washer/dryer, dishwasher, gas BBQ, linens, microwave, coffeemaker, and outdoor furnishings on the deck. There is off-street parking for 2-3 cars (sorry, garage not available for guest use).
Bar Harbor, Bass Harbor, Southwest Harbor and Acadia National Park offer visitors a variety of activities, including hiking, biking, boating, lake swimming, carriage road walks, whale watch and other boat tours, deep sea fishing! Sail on the Margaret Todd, enjoy Diver Ed boat excursions, visit the Abbe Museum, explore the Bass Harbor Lighthouse area, enjoy tea and popovers at the Jordan Pond House, golf at The Causeway Club or Kebo Valley Golf course, play tennis. Nearby kids activities include a water park, miniature golf, beaches, tour boat rides and lots of ice cream shops!
