Captain Skip’s

The Great Harbor Marina in Southwest Harbor beholds many wonderful seafaring sights! This busy harbor is home to many lobster and fishing boats as well has sailboats and power boats, including visiting yachts from around the world! Captain Skip’s is a fun cottage/cabin RIGHT on the harbor (the tide comes right up to the deck!). Located at the end of the harbor, it enjoys an expansive view. Sunrises and sunsets are spectacular. And with plenty of windows in every room, guests enjoy these views all day long! Guests will also enjoy the relaxing and private deck overlooking the marina. Stairs take you down to the water where you can swim, launch a kayak or even drop a fishing line! Within walking distance to the village of Southwest, for restaurants and shops!

The small cottage (1350 sq ft) features 3 bedrooms (all on the 2nd floor): 2 queens and a double bedroom. There is also a small bathroom with shower on the 2nd floor. The first floor features the kitchen/dining room, living room and a bathroom with shower/tub. Access to the amazing deck is from the living room as well.

Amenities include A/C in two bedrooms and living room, ROKU TV (no cable), microwave oven, washer/dryer, WIFI internet connection, gas BBQ. Sorry, no dishwasher.

Walk into downtown Southwest Harbor for dining, shopping and communing with the locals and visitors alike. Catch the free Island Explorer Bus in town, which takes you all over Mount Desert Island. Echo Lake and several Acadia hiking trails are just a few miles away!

In addition to Acadia National Park other activities in the area include swimming, boating, hiking, deep-sea fishing, sightseeing. And the cottage is readily accessible to golf courses, public tennis courts, water park, miniature golf, horseback riding, and Abbe Museum!
