Tranquility Cove

Tranquility Cove is a gogeous cottage situated in a lovely wooded property (5 acres!), on a quiet tidal cove off Thomas Bay. Ths cottage is spacious and comfortable with a wonderful deck overlooking the water. Sunrises are spectacular there! The varied shoreline (sea grass, rocks) features a wooded pathway for easy access to the water for kayaking, swimming, etc. Located on a private road, Tranquility Cove offers a very quiet private setting, the delightful activities of a shorefront property and close proximity to everything Mount Desert Island has to offer. It’s a terrific family retreat!

A welcoming family home, Tranquility Cove features three levels of living space.

The main level features the living room, dining area, kitchen and a half bathroom, as well as the amazing porch/deck. The dining table seats up to 12, and the kitchen bar seats 3 more. On the porch is another dining table seating 8.

The upstairs/2nd level features one king bedroom with a private bath (shower only), two queen bedrooms and with a bathroom with shower. There are lovely views from the bedrooms, including one that can see Cadillac Mountain in the distance!

The lower level, which opens out to the yard and views the Cove, has a bedroom with 4 twin beds (daybed with pop-up trundle bed, and bunk bed with two twins) and a queen bedroom. There is a full bathroom (tub and shower), as well, on this level. The spacious, fun family room features a queen sleep sofa, TV, billards/ping pong table!

The large (mostly screened) porch on the main level features lovely water views, a second dining table and lounge seating! The yard is rustic and wooded with plenty of wildlife (deer, fox, eagles, rabbits!). There is also a beautiful patio outside the lower level with fire pit!

Amenities include cable TVs, dishwasher, washer/dryer, A/C units in all but one bedroom and main floor, WIFI, gas BBQ. Click here for more complete list of household items/amenities.
