Tilia Retreat
Tilia Retreat is a lovely cottage located in of Southwest Harbor (just a few miles from downtown). Built in the 1920s, the Mansard-style cottage has been lovingly renovated/restored by family members. Named for the two Tilia trees that adorn the front yard, Tilia Retreat enjoys a natural setting in a peaceful residential area. Just a 10 minute walk to the Harbor, where you’ll find amazing views of our Island’s largest harbor (called the “Great Harbor Marina”); home to lobster boats, luxury yachts and everything in between! Its comfortable yard will offer badminton to guests as well as outdoor dining. And it’s just a few miles from Seawall, a popular attraction of Acadia. Echo Lake Beach and several Acadia hiking trails are less than a 10 minute drive away!
The main level of this two-story cottage features a fully renovated kitchen with all new appliances, etc. There is also the living room, dining area, bathroom with shower, and laundry room.
The second floor features a king bedroom, queen bedroom, and a bedroom with two twin beds. There is also a another “shower” bathroom on the 2nd floor. Maximum capacity is 6 guests.
Amenities include Smart TV in living room (no cable), WIFI, washer/dryer, dishwasher, BBQ, linens, microwave, coffee maker, outdoor dining table, standby generator. There is parking for 2 or more cars.
Bar Harbor, Bass Harbor, Southwest Harbor and Acadia National Park offer visitors a variety of activities, including hiking, biking, boating, lake swimming, carriage road walks, whale watch and other boat tours, deep sea fishing! Sail on the Margaret Todd, take a boat tour on the Sea Princess, visit the Abbe Museum, explore the Bass Harbor Lighthouse area, enjoy tea and popovers at the Jordan Pond House, golf at The Causeway Club or Kebo Valley Golf course, play tennis. Nearby kids activities include a water park, miniature golf, beaches, tour boat rides and lots of ice cream shops!
