Harborside Summer

Harborside Summer is a beautiful cottage located right on the harbor in Southwest Harbor. Also known as the Great Harbor Marina, the harbor offers wonderful traditional seacoast Maine views, of lobster boats, beautiful luxury yachts, sailboats, and our amazing seacoast birds, including an osprey’s nest right in the middle of the harbor! The new owner of Harborside Summer cottage has carefully restored and modernized this classic cottage, all the while preserving its charm and place on the harbor. Located on the Clark Point Road, among the other lovely residential harborside cottages, it offers a lovely spot for your family’s vacation. Stone steps provide access to the water’s edge, allowing for some harbor kayaking!

The 1400 sq ft cottage features 3 bedrooms (all on the 2nd floor): king, queen, and a bedroom with two twins. There is also a full bathroom on the 2nd floor. The first floor features the gourmet kitchen, living room, dining area, “book nook”, and a bathroom with walk-shower (no tub).

Amenities include CENTRAL A/C(!), gas fireplace, TV (with cable), DVD, microwave oven, washer/dryer, dishwasher, WIFI internet connection, gas BBQ.

Walk into downtown Southwest Harbor for dining, shopping and communing with the locals and visitors alike. Catch the free Island Explorer Bus in town, which takes you all over Mount Desert Island. Walk to the Great Harbor marina. Pick up some live lobster just down the road at the pier.

In addition to Acadia National Park other activities in the area include swimming, boating, hiking, deep-sea fishing, sightseeing. And the cottage is readily accessible to golf courses, public tennis courts, water park, miniature golf, horseback riding, and the Abbe Museum!
