Sunset Shores
Sunset Shores is a beautiful oceanfront property with expansive lawns right down to the water—a wonderful place for families to enjoy their vacation. Plenty of outdoor space for kids to play, terrific oceanfrontage for kayaking, paddleboarding and swimming! Gather around the fire pit and watch the incredible sunsets in the evening. Enjoy lovely accommodations with full amenities!
The property sits on 5 acres of land, so you will have lots of privacy and room to relax and enjoy nature. Plenty of wildlife too, with daily views of deer, bald eagles, and regular appearances of seals on the rocks right out in front of the property!
Located in the town of Ellsworth, it’s about 25 minutes drive to the nearest park trails, 30 minutes to downtown Bar Harbor. It is newly renovated with new flooring, mini-splits (A/C units), kitchen countertops, kitchen cabinetry, appliances, and more!
The 1st floor features a spacious living room, dining room, a king bedroom, bathroom with shower, beautiful kitchen, a Family/TV room, and a gorgeous sunroom with propane fireplace and table to eat at with views!
The second floor features a bedroom with a bunk beds (two double-size beds), bathroom with shower, king bedroom with ensuite bathroom (tub/shower).
The sunroom is likely where you will spend most of your time, as the view over the grounds and the water is truly special. Unwind from a day of hiking in the park with refreshments, partake in family breakfast. There is also a propane fireplace for when the weather gets cooler in the evening and you want to read a book by the fire and watch the sunset.
Amenities include: A/C throughout, fire pit, propane fireplace, washer/dryer, dishwasher, Wifi, Smart TVs, BBQ grill, and outdoor games. There is also, in the basement, workout equipment for guests’ use.
Our area offers a variety of activities including: hiking, biking, kayaking, golf, tennis, boating, nature walks, beaching, deep sea fishing, whale watch tours, museums, shopping and, of course, terrific dining choices.
For the 2026 season, the cottage features 3 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms, with sleeping capacity of 8. For 2027 the 2nd floor king bedroom will be converted into 2 separate bedrooms, offering 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, with a sleeping capacity of 10.
