Top of the Pond
Gorgeous cottage right on Long Pond is available for weekly rentals starting May 2020. We are thrilled to have this property to offer! It’s a gorgeous, newly built cottage with a private dock on our Island’s largest lake! Bring or rent your kayaks, small motor craft and paddle boards for a wonderful lakeside vacation! Located on the northern end of Long Pond, the cottage enjoys gorgeous vistas down the lake, spectacular fresh water activities, including swimming, fishing and boating. A nice patio overlooks the lake, as does the outdoor dining table! It also has a wonderful yard for family fun!
The accommodations in this 3-bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage are lovely. Modern, clean, uncluttered, the cottage provides beautiful lake views from many rooms. It’s a relaxing and comfortable home base for your Acadia vacation for a group of 6!
The main level features a great room with living room, dining room and kitchen. There is also a bedroom with two twin beds (XL size, that can convert to one king bed—converter kit provided at cottage), a quiet den/sitting room overlooking the water and a full bathroom.
The second floor features a king bedroom, a queen bedroom and a bathroom with shower.
Amenities include A/C in living room and 2nd floor bedrooms, dishwasher, washer/dryer, WIFI, gas BBQ, cable TV in living room (basic cable).
Centrally located on Mount Desert Island, Top of the Pond is just minutes from various branches of Acadia National Park, including Echo Lake Beach, Beech Hill and St. Sauveur hiking trails. The Acadia Park Loop Road is about 15 minutes away, as is Eagle Lake. Bar Harbor is just 15 minutes drive, and Southwest Harbor is less then 10 minutes away!
Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park offer a multitude of activities, including whale watch tours, lighthouse tours, hiking, biking, kayaking, museum tours, gardens and of course fine dining and lobsters galore!
One dog permitted.
Note: dock is installed in the spring and removed in the fall, depending on weather conditions. Dock is not available in off season/winter weekly rentals.
